Two IMMA Students Shine at the Rudolfo Lipizer Competetion

Our heartiest congratulations to our wonderful violinists Vasyl Zatshika and Diana Pasko who have respectively earned 2nd and 4th prize at the International Rudolfo Lipizer Violin Competition in Italy. Not only this, but Vasyl claimed 5 further prizes for outstanding performances. We are incredibly proud for these wonderful achievements which further enlighten IMMA on an International Platform!

Daniel Mitnitski joins the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne

Hugo Paiva joins Portugal’s Gulbenkian Orchestra

Menuhin Academy is proud to announce that their student Hugo Paiva has joined the prestigious Gulbenkian Orchestra – the Portuguese symphony orchestra that is based in Lisbon.

IMMA Tour of South America

For the 40th anniversary of IMMA, in homage of Alberto Lysy, the academy has been invited for a tour of South America (Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Chile). Maestro Lysy is still very much a legend in these parts of the world. We are sure he would be proud to show what his academy has become and how his Camerata Lysy (Concert in China 1982), now the Menuhin Academy Soloists, have evolved.

Violin Making School of Brienz

It was a very special day out for IMMA students where they all went to visit the violin making school of Brienz. A most interesting visit where great exchanges took place with the young ‘luthiers’. At the end, IMMA students tried their instruments with a small concert and gave them a most welcome feedback..

Kalaidos University of Zurich

12 May 2017, will be remembered as a historic day for IMMA. The signature of a Cooperation Agreement with Kalaidos University of Zurich. IMMA’s curriculum has been accredited. As of October 2017, IMMA students will be able to get a Swiss ‘Master of Arts in Instrumental Music Specialised Performance ‘Soloist Diploma’, recognised by the Bologna Convention. Around the signature table: Philippe Gudin, Michael Sombart, Oleg Kaskiv for IMMA, Dr. Jakob Limacher and Dr Frank-Thomas Mitschke, Rectors of Kalaidos University Zurich. A beautiful present for IMMA’s 40th Anniversary!
